Meet Karen

Hello and Welcome, my name is Karen Witherspoon-Lewis. 

I am the owner of KEWL Weddings and Special Events, and I've been in the wedding and special event industry for over 25 years. 

I believe it is a privilege to be a part of such special moments in peoples lives.

I feel like I've been a part of this industry since birth! 

From helping my Mom with events at church, planning our family reunion, and helping with her catering company to being chosen to chair committees and assisting with the planning of weddings for family and friends, it became apparent this industry is a part of my DNA!

When I'm not working, I love spending time with my loving husband, family, and friends traveling and shopping. Attending comedy shows, awesome brunch spots and jazz festivals. Any time on or near the water is a good day! Oh! and I'm a big fan of yellow, it always makes me smile.

I am proud to say that I have planned, coordinated and managed logistics for over 200 events including several destination weddings in Washington DC, Washington State, and Malibu CA. From intimate wedding celebrations of 20 guest to grand galas of over 600 guests. I've helped clients navigate unforgettable moments, no matter the scale.
